These mats contain the 41 tricky words taken from Letters and Sounds. (Split into phases). 

Tricky words cannot be decoded and children need to memorise them by sight. 

Children can trace over the dots to write the words. The mats can then be wiped clean and used over and over until they can write the words by themselves.
